【iPhone】iOS16.5のLightning – USB 3カメラアダプタの不具合、USB-Cケーブルと電源アダプタによる解決事例

iOS16.5アップデート後、Lightning – USB 3カメラアダプタで給電できない不具合が発生していますが、Apple社製のUSB-C – Lightningケーブルと20W USB-C電源アダプタを使用することで、給電できたとの事例が報告されています。

iOS16.5アップデート後、Appleの純正アクセサリ「Lightning – USB 3カメラアダプタ」で給電できず、外部アクセサリが使用できない、充電できないなどなどの問題が報告されています。

Updated to 16.5 today. My 7th gen iPad is used for midi music apps. I have an apple usb lightning camera adapter with charging. The charging port will not work for the iPad anymore. I’ve tried several different apple cables. The adapter will allow charge-through to my iphone, so it’s not a hardware issue. I’ve done several restarts / reboots on the iPad. Still no success. Charging only occurs with direct connection and NOT through the adapter. Any other solutions available?

この問題の解決には、iOSアップデートもしくはアクセサリアップデートによる対処を待つ必要がありますが、Apple社製の「USB-C – Lightningケーブル」と「20W USB-C電源アダプタ」で給電できたとの事例が報告されています。

また電源については、USB-Cに対応した比較的新しいモバイルバッテリー（PD対応）でも給電できる場合があるようなので、外出先ではこちらの組み合わせを試すと良さそうです。

However there is a workaround that I’ve found waiting for a fix: using a USB-C to lightning cable and USB-C charger or powerbank allows USB Camera Adapter to charge properly my 14 Pro max and provides power to Scarlett Solo. Only lightning to USB-A gear don’t work here.

USB-C-Lightningケーブルを使っての給電なら動作する、との情報があり、手持ちのiPhone XSで試したところ、無事動作しました。

給電しない→ USB-A充電器・USB-A-Lightningケーブルの組み合わせ

給電する→ USB-C PD対応充電器・USB-C-Lightningケーブルの組み合わせ

他社製のUSB-C電源アダプタでは改善できない場合も

今回の問題は、USB-C製品を使用するば解決できるということでは無く、他社製の40W USB-C電源アダプタやUSB-Aを搭載した古いモバイルバッテリーでは給電できない場合があるようです。

もし「USB-C – Lightningケーブル」を使用しているにも関わらず、問題が発生している場合は電源アダプタやモバイルバッテリーを別の製品に変えることで改善できる可能性がありそうです。

I tested my Lightning to USB-3 adapter, it will not work with a 40W USB-C power supply from Anker, as well as with an older Anker powerbank with USB-A. If I connect the Lightning to USB-3 adapter with a USB-C to Lightning cable to the 20W Apple USB-C power supply or to a fairly new powerbank with USB-C connection, it does works.
